#@: Sharp Aquos LC42D62U 42 Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

If you have tons of money to spend, of course get the best in the market - Sony Bravia series. If not, this TV costs a lot less, but has almost as good image quality as those.

I got a 32" Aquos first, then I fell in love with the TV. I realized it was too small. Instead of returning it, I bought another one - this one. It was an excellent decision. Now it sits elegantly in my living room and provides us entertainment every night. I use it to watch HD channels (free ones...if you have an antenna, you can receive many HD channels) and I use it to watch foreign TV shows (I have a slingbox hooked up to the TV in another country). Of course, you need to connect a pc to the TV......

Overall, I love the TV and my family LOVE it too!

@# Brother HL 1450 Laser Printer

I have had nothing but problems with mine. It uses a limited number of warning lights to indicate a multitude of problems by lighting them in different combinations; CONFUSING! It's very, very finicky with replacement cartridges and feeding different weights of paper. I had to continuously manually reset mine and clear feed problems and it's been to the shop three times in 2 years and now I'm informed it has "major board problems too expensive to fix"!! It's a stinker alright. Now I have two cartridges for it left and Brother has seen fit to update its product line to a new model HL-2040 which is an updated 1450 except, of course, it doesn't use the same cartridges; ughh!!! Thanks Brother; you get a "Got you" on this one.

!$ Tamron AF 70 300mm f 4.0 5.6 Di LD Macro Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras

I bought this lens just to capture a moon shot (a newb had to do it). I did a comparison with Sigma and Canon but since I am a cheap-o I settled with this one. Under optimal conditions, i.e. clear sky, preferred moon phase, use of tripod and shutter release cable, the photo that I captured is pretty impressive. The details of the moons' surface is remarkable and there is very little chromatic aberration. I live in Seattle where the rain never stops and so when it is cloudy or foggy at night, the shots that I captured would need a whole lot of post-processing.

I've also tried it using the macro mode and boy it produces silky smooth bokeh! I've yet to experiment more on this feature.

The down side is this lens is really heavy and huge. DSLR cameras are bulky and this lens adds up to the bulkiness. Don't get too frustrated though. The quality of pictures you get outweighs this disadvantage imo.

Overall, I think it is worth the price and a good upgrade from your kit lens.
