What is the difference between plasma and LCD TVs?

Plasma and LCD are the latest trend in home entertainment. Both offer unprecedented image quality, and the resolution while the footprint of the old rear projection technologies. But with all the hype surrounding these two types of televisions, what is the difference between them? Although they look and are virtually the same price, they are not.

There are differences in the way they see their photos found. Plasma TV technology is madeHundreds of thousands of small pixels, each capable of displaying red, green and blue. A plasma monitor often consists of two plates which are filled with an inert gas such as xenon or neon. If the pixels are excited by electrical pulses, the gas in the liquid state to produce light. If you intend to show to spend lots of time, digital photography, or are planning, with the monitor to the computer, then an LCD may be more suitable for this purpose.

Both plasma and LCD technologies have their pros and cons and your final decision should be based on the use of the monitor.
